Jeanne and Boris have been married for many years, enjoying financial prosperity but their love has long vanished. When they each pursue new lovers, their son Alexis suddenly goes missing. The police and social workers launch a search, forcing them to temporarily set aside their new romances and begin searching for their missing "beloved son." While they hope to find Alexis soon, they also fear he may never return. When love is lost, will this pursuit lead their lives into decline, or perhaps a rebirth?
